MERSETA Chair in Engineering Development
The aim of this project is to target the grade 9 - 11 learners in selected rural schools in the Eastern Cape and expose them to the engineering field. An Engineering Awareness Week is planned for August 2010 at the University of Fort Hare's Career's Exhibition.
Various High School has been visited by Karl du Preez and Meera Parshotam where a presentation was conducted to inform learners of the importance of the subjects Mathematics and Science in choosing a career in Engineering.
